COVID-19 Priority Areas
Freshfel Europe’s Crisis Management Strategy currently focuses on three priority areas for the fresh fruit and vegetable supply chain including:
- Ensuring the availability of seasonal and other workers across the supply chain to guarantee continued production and harvest of fresh produce.
- Maintaining intra-EU movements of fresh produce despite the introduction of checks and other restrictive measures in several Member States to contain the spread of the virus.
- Identifying exceptional measures to solve bottlenecks in international trade flows resulting from logistical issues and the slowing of operations across the globe.
